Much of the history presented on this website was only possible due to years of rigorous and costly research carried out by our skillful researchers. We have no hidden agenda and although many would seek financial reward for such hard work, we simply want to share this information for free to help the friends and families of Lurucina reconnect with each other no matter where they are in the world. Great steps were taken to ensure the information presented on this site is historically accurate, irrespective of what we may have wished our history to have been.
Nevertheless, despite our meticulous approach, dealing with a village of this size will inevitably result in some mistakes. As such, to ensure full transparency with our audience, we’ve provided all of our key sources below for people to review freely. In addition to the historical records uploaded to this site, many people from within the Lurucina community volunteered, particularly from the older generation, to independently review the work and confirm it’s historicity or refine the information where necessary.
Where reliable sources were in conflict, we included notes throughout the site to show the differences of opinion. This village-wide exercise was only possible due to the collaborative nature of people from around the globe and as such, we actively welcome polite and constructive comments from all. A separate post has been included below to provide acknowledgements to those that have assisted in our endeavour to helping our people find their roots.
Finally, should a new reliable source arise, which suggests that the information on this site is in err, we would gladly revisit the underlying sources and update the site where necessary. To all those who have contributed, we truly appreciate all your help and support.
